  Have shopped at The Range for many years, mainly at Truro until this store opened. Sadly after todays experience I will never shop with them again. I called in to buy a new dog cushion, chose one which was stacked neatly with a price label stating £9.99, there was a smaller size next to them for £5.99. It was very clear to understand these prices as there were only the two sized beds and two price labels on the whole shelf. After paying, my husband noticed the receipt stated the bed was £19.99...I went back to the shelf to double check and the label definitely stated £9.99, the lady at the checkout sent us to the service desk because we had already paid. Another lady at the desk came and checked the shelf with me, agreed that it clearly stated £9.99, she promptly said she would refund the difference. She then seemed to have problems with the refund so she refunded us the full £19.99 and said she would honour the shelf price and resell us the cushion at £9.99....no fuss, problem solved...or so I thought! Another lady on the desk then decided to get involved and said they would not cover the difference of £10.. I stated the price was advertised on the shelf wrong and I had already paid and had been told the advertised price would be honoured...she snapped that the law had changed and they didn't have to do this...the consumer rights act hasn't changed since 2015 so not sure which law she was referring to.???? I ended up leaving without the cushion because I just couldn't be bothered arguing with this rude lady, The Range has now lost my, and my family's business. I would like to state that the first lady at the desk was perfectly polite, the receipt shows her name to be Heather, and I would like to thank her for trying to resolve the problem. However, other staff at the store need more training and learn the "law" correctly.

  Lots of items not priced on shelf or wrong pricing, which isn't helpful. The waiting times at checkouts can be long. Hard to manover pushchair around displays once through the door. However, the staff are polite, especially if you need help looking for something. There is good variety of arts and crafts and lovely accessorises for the home.
